Books, wine, travel, decorating, gardening, fashion, music (especially a live show), dancing, motorcycles, cars, tattoos, my family.
I think I am willing to meet most people. Please do not confuse this with "I would like to be your friend". You have to be pretty sincere for that. I think I would feel "bowled over" by a truly famous person, so I can't say who I would want to meet on that level--I would probably make a fool out of myself.
Swing, rasta, rockabilly, classical music, classic rock, pop rock, older country. Fleetwood Mac, Mike Ness, Johnny Cash, Bob Marley, Mozart, Pink Floyd, The Beastie Boys, Dave Matthews, The Cigar Store Indians, The Pixies, The Billygoats, just about anyone who ever played Lollapalooza (main or side stage). I will listen to nearly anything.
Favorite--don't laugh--"Braveheart". Only movie I still cry at on a regular basis. Except for "Steel Magnolias". I just saw it again recently and choked up a bit. Okay, I am officially adding "Big Fish" to this list. Disclaimer: I have daughters now; I am allowed to cry at sappy movies. Horror, old or new. Lately, though, I cannot stand to watch people being tortured. Anything by Martin Scorsese, Tim Burton or Steven Spielburg---my spelling is probably off. I could watch the movie Dazed and Confused a million or more times (and probably have!) as well as Napoleon Dynamite. I am madly in love with Brad Pitt films as well as Vince Vaughn flicks (except for the the one where he played new boyfriend trying to kill ex-husband. He was such a DORK in that one!)
TV is mostly junk. I watch alot of HBO. I used to love Liquid Television on MTV (certainly, I just dated myself admitting to that one!) especially the Aeon Flux cartoon. I have been hooked on Law and Order since college. One soap--Days Of Our Lives. Fortunately, you only have to watch that particular soap opera like once every few months and you can catch up easily. News when I can.
I have read almost all of the V. C. Andrews books--junk, but I loved reading them. I stopped enjoying them after she died; her ghostwriter just isn't the same. I like mostly fiction but also enjoy reading true crime stuff (Ann Rule). Recently, started on several new novels (and finished! Yay!) I have always loved Beverly Cleary and cannot wait to share them with Ella and Maggie. I thought I would read the Bible from start to finish, but my Dad discouraged it...I think he said the Old Testament was too much or something like that.
I don't really have any. I will have to edit this one later...after some thought. I have a great respect for alot of people, though--military for one. And wait staff that have a good attitude. Those are two things I could never be. Although, sometimes nursing feels like waiting tables. Recently, my husband has become my hero...he saves me from "momdom" every now and then and turns me back into "cool" Anna. Thanks, Daddie!
