Country Noir

About Me

Pulling from the undersides of Urban life the physical and specific beauty of rusted buildings abandoned piers Indiana native Brian Finke and his newly formed band Lone Tree craft a sound that one reviewer described as country noir, a catchy phrase made evident in the sad dark characters Finke hones with a sharp pen, soothing voice, and melodic rolling sound reminiscent of the best Nick Drake. Now think of Leonard Cohen his baritone poems and his 1960 novel Beautiful Losers. Currently a resident of New YorkCity, Brian and his band perform regularly throughout the city. Finke has just released his debut album entitled "Stationhill". His song "A Line" has been featured on NPRs All Songs Considered. His music is Man vs Nature, Beggars vs Thieves, Starlight vs SkylineView Brian Finke and Lone Tree's EPKYou can purchase my album "Stationhill" here Get more info at my web site!
