My biggest interest is international travel. I have been to Moscow twice, St. Petersberg, Cuba, Uruguay, Argentina, Amsterdam, Italy, Mexico City, etc. My craziest experience was getting robbed at machine gun point in St. Petersberg by three military-style police officers. Besides travel, I love art, including modern alt-artists like Ron English, Shag, Anthony Ausgang, Bruce Heavin and Giant Sumo.
anyone but Paris Hilton. I don't think she's cute, and I certainly wouldn't want her on my team for a spelling bee. That'd be like asking Miss Teen South Carolina to find Charleston on a map. i am happy to add anyone to my friends list who is promoting his or her music, acting, art, etc. (just go easy on all the comment postings please), but i will NEVER EVER add any girl that has the word "webcam" anywhere in her profile.
Mindless Self-Indulgence, The Fratellis, The Sounds, Eclectic Method, the Beatles, Stones, Bad Religion, Guns, NWA, Public Enemy, Sex Pistols, Green Day, Johnny Cash, Queen, Pennywise and Eminem. I'm deadly sick of Fergie and Fiddy.
Thanks to Netflix, I've been picking an actor or director and watching his/her work chronologically, most recently Brando and Kubrik. Fave films include LA Confidential, Natural Born Killers, Benigni's The Monster, A Bullet in the Head, Full Metal Jacket, Dazed and Confused, Streetcar Named Desire and Casablanca. My fave gangster film is Godfather II mostly because of the DeNiro scenes. Special effects don't wow me, which is why I like older action films like the French Lt more.
Daily Show, Real Time with Ball Maher, 24, Colbert Report, Dave Chapelle, Miami Vice, Lost, Sopranos, Alias, Six Feet Under, Deadwood and South Park. For sports, I watch a lot of NBA (esp. the Lakers), the Final Four and some football.
America by Jon Stewart, First Urban Christians by Wayne Meeks, Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail by Hunter S. Thompson. My next read will probably be My Pet Goat, because I want to see what had Dubya so enthralled on 9/11.
My mother, Rosa Parks, Muhammed Ali, Valerie Plame, Mark Felt, Sherron Watkins, Cynthia Cooper, Coleen Rowley, Patrick Fitzgerald, David Iglesias for standing up to Alberto Gonzales (and for standing up to the military, as protrayed in A Few Good Men), Kanye West for the Katrina telethon comment, Steven Colbert for taking on 43 at the annual press roast, Jon Stewart for taking on Crossfire, and all the government officials, CIA employees and retired Generals who are speaking out about the war and even those who put their careers and lives in the cross hairs by leaking word of U.S. torture chambers in E. Europe, abuse at our own bases, illegal wiretapping and politically motivated attorney general firings.
