About Me

There was a time in my life when I cared about a lot of things. Now, not so much. It's not that I don't care - it's just that the things I care about have shifted. I couldn't care less about money (tho it is necessary to have a little). I couldn't care less about material possessions (but I do love my CD player.) I don't drive a fancy new car (but I love my beautiful old Ford van and will never trade her) And lastly, I don't really care what other people think about me. I used to, but now I realize they don't walk in my shoes, pay my bills, sleep in my bed, or have my dreams. They don't live in my skin 24-7-365. So why do I care what they think about me? HOWEVER, I do care a lot about other people and their lives and I'm a very good friend to have. If you need a place to crash, you can sleep on my couch. If you need a shower or to wash some clothes, come on over. If you're hungry, I might even cook for you. If you need a couple bucks and I've got a couple, I'll share them with you. If you need a shoulder, I have two. If you need advice, you have to ask for it. If you want my love, Ill give it. But if you want my heart - you have to earn it - and most aren't up to that challenge. So be it.

My Interests

People. No better entertainment in the world.

I'd like to meet:

People who will inspire me. Who inspires me? All sort of folks. Sometimes they're good people with intersting stories. Sometimes they're jerks who treated me badly. Sometimes they're people I fall in love with - or out of love with. It doesn't matter - at some point they all end up in a song. One day these people will help me win a grammy for song of the year. But if not, they will still earn a place in a song or poem or story somewhere.

Music:

Yep, I listen to it. I play it. I even write it! I like it alot.

Movies:

Sure! As long as I'm not starring in it naked.

Television:

It is there for our amusement and entertainment when we haven't the courage to entertain ourselves.

Books:

I can read. I actually like to write too. Here lately I've had this nagging desire to spray paint something on a bridge or water tower.

Heroes:

I definitely have a hero - several in fact. Ask me about them. Now if you didn't pick up on that as a conversation starter, then don't bother. You couldn't keep up with me.
