Buy art!! Listen to music!! Help the birds!!
Bird Carnival is a multi-media event featuring artists and musicians from around the globe gathering to celebrate, honor and protect our Bird Kingdom and the habitats we share with them.
Our very first Bird Carnival was held in Chicago on August 3, 2006 at the Logan Square Auditorium. You can read about it below as well as visiting our website at www.birdcarnival.com
With amazing support, talent, and inspiration, the evening was a great success, and we are very proud to have been able to gather such an amazing group of people to help us create such a memorable event. We were able to honor both the growing artistic community we are all a part of as well as give something back to the birds. And to be in the presence of some stunning live birds was quite an experience. We were so lucky to have the Illinois Raptor Center with us, bringing along a red-tailed hawk, a peregrine falcon, a barn owl, a vulture and a bald eagle (yes!! a bald eagle!!) Please also visit our website to read more about this organization as well as the Chicago Bird Collision Monitors, who we were able to donate part of our proceeds to.
We hope soon to have some of our bird-inspired art online for sale, as well as more information about our first featured Bird Carnival artists. As well as posting photos, stories, links, and even more wildlife organizations!
Also, please check out all of the musicians we had play with us. They are all such amazingly talented people. You can hear some of their songs above as well as on our Bird Carnival website. We also have links to those bands and artists that have their own sites as well if you'd like to check out more of their art and music.
Bird Carnival is to be an ongoing place to visit and share art, music, inspiration, and to continue to help the birds.
We are welcoming ideas, feedback, sponsors, donations, more contacts, and new artists for review. So spread your wings, spread the word, get in touch with us and let us know what you think!!
Let the birds inspire you!!
