Create like a god, command like a king, work like a slave - Brancusi

About Me

I'm a sculptor trying to spend as much time as possible in my studio, in between doing a job that pays the bills.
In all of this, I managed to find a plan (my friends will probably see this as plan 341.925, but that's ok) -- I'm moving to Barcelona. And when I get there I'm going to study at a sculpture school for 2/3 years, with a complete training in the practical sides of this medium. Can't wait to get stuck in!

You are the Fool card. The Fool fearlessly begins the journey into the unknown. To do this, he does not regard the world he knows as firm and fixed. He has a seemingly reckless disregard for obstacles. In the Ryder-Waite deck, he is seen stepping off a cliff with his gaze on the sky, and a rainbow is there to catch him. In order to explore and expand, one must disregard convention and conformity. Those in the throes of convention look at the unconventional, non-conformist personality and think What a fool. They lack the point of view to understand The Fool's actions. But The Fool has roots in tradition as one who is closest to the spirit world. In many tribal cultures, those born with strange and unusual character traits were held in awe. Shamans were people who could see visions and go on journeys that we now label hallucinations and schizophrenia. Those with physical differences had experience and knowledge that the average person could not understand. The Fool is God. The number of the card is zero, which when drawn is a perfect circle. This circle represents both emptiness and infinity. The Fool is not shackled by mountains and valleys or by his physical body. He does not accept the appearance of cliff and air as being distinct or real. Image from: Mary DeLave http://www.marydelave.com/

My Interests

I love literature, life, the sun, summer, cold beer, Spanish brandy, cats, dogs, bullfighting, truth, debate, pool, atlas-perusing etc etc

I'd like to meet:

People who challenge me, who make me think, people interested in the arts, in music, in creation. Who realise that we create our own reality, and that we are the only ones responsible for the way things are in our lives. Who understand that truth is the only way to make sure everyone knows what's going on.And other people who'll make me think or laugh or cry (for the right reasons..!)

Music:

Enrique Morente, Estrella Morente... Big fan of Bruce Springsteen, Tom Waits, David Bowie - but can also handle Cyndi Lauper, Annie Lennox, Billie Holiday, Devendra Banhart, Joni Mitchell and many others in any order that suits my mood.

Movies:

Casablanca and Life of Brian have got to be the best films ever made. Surely.

Television:

Try to avoid it as much as possible...
