Kansas native, Slick is whirl winding onto the urban entertainment scene as one of the hottest new gangster rappers as well as CEO of Tornado Alley Entertainment, established 2004. Slick began testing the waters of the rap game early nineteen ninety seven through personal involvement pre-suited by his cousins, Top Citys own, Evil Loc and Doe. His other influences are Tupac and fellow Midwest Chicago group, Crucial Conflict.Slick born and raised in Topeka, Ks grew up in a single parent home with his mother and older brother. Spending more time with his mother than his brother, but still not too much time at all. She helped prepare me for the streets he explains. Having little interest in school he dropped out at the tender age of sixteen and began life as a hustler which escalated into gang banging by the age of twenty two.As a result of gang violence and after a near fatal car accident in April 2003, Slick was jolted into the realization that street life can end your life. It helped me grow up. He explains, I realized I didnt want to die and nobody knows my name. Slick explains that hustling and gang banging just arent worth it. With the long recovery of a broken hip ahead of him, he decided to focus on his music. Wanting to bring more than his person street life experiences to his audience, Tornado Alley Entertainment emerged.
