The Mid West is known for bringing the grammar to Hip-Hop, but Kansas' own Pressha is coming with more than just the Mid West Swing. With their street saavy club anthems, Jerome Travis (aka J-roc) and Ricky Bratton (aka Kwestion Pz) are running the streets with hits like " Holla At Ya Boy" and "Heat the Streets", Pressha is applying pressure to the industry.
"What we are doing is creating a movement," said J-Roc, "We are showing that although we may not be as known for rocking the mic like California, we definitely know how to grind out and tear the clubs up as well as kick the music for the streets that everyone can appreciate."
Hailing from Topeka, the states capital, both J-Roc and Kwestion are ready to reign supreme in the game of Hip-Hop. With a unique blend of West Coast and northern slang, Pressha is undeniably a force to be reckoned with.
"What we are here to do is make real music," said Kwestion, " We want the whole world to know how we do it up top and have the whole world talking how we talk and walking how we walk."
After creating a distributing two projects and a mixtape with major reception, Pressha is finally ready to give the industry what they need - a breath of fresh air.
With their new untitled album underway and "The Mcdonald's Mixtape" making noise on the underground circuit, it's no wonder that both emcees are after Kanye's title of the hardest working men in the industry.
" We are just doing what feels natural," J-Roc stated," If the world can't feel what we have to bring to the table, we are going to make them feel through the passion that the industry is truly lacking right now. We hope to breathe some creativity in more than just a few artists but hopefully change up the whole game.
