Sounds Like: BIO:
Pepper's Ghost is a misfit group of songwriters & musicians from Philly, now
residing in Fishtown. Their sound has changed quite a bit over the
years--and continues to do so. They've been through a lot: a critically
acclaimed live album, a slew of shoestring-budget tours, a high-profile
record with Andy Johns, a bum record deal, and a notorious tour that
everyone told them not to do. Prior to the release of their 2005 Hybrid
Recordings debut "Shake the Hand that Shook the World" their single "You're
in My Heart (Little Pretty)" leapt to 3 on the Billboard singles chart in
the U.S. and 1 in Canada. Their album dropped April 5th 2005 and went on to independently sell well over 15,000 copies. "Dirty Bomb", which they recorded themselves in late 2006 has recently spent time in regular rotation at Philly's biggest rock station, WMMR. In the past they've often been compared to the Beatles, but their new material smells more like T.Rex than "All You Need is Love"--these guys have a newfound chip on their shoulder. And that's a good thing.
