Our Time Down Here

In toxic ground filled with bowling ball bags and phospherous carcinogens, New Jersey was the perfect springboard for the conception of what has become the sick sound of Our Time Down Here. It was in November of 2001 the armpit of America provided the perfect hazy brown climate to form Our Time Down Here. Made up of west coast transplants, as well as North Jersey natives, Our Time Down Here’s five members found common ground in one thing: an overwhelming need to rock!!! OTDH’s music draws from a wide spectrum of influences. With hearts that beat in breakdowns like a loud mix of boy sets fire and my chemical romance melodies, NOFX thrash punk and the love of AFI style singalongs. This shakedown of styles, combined with explosive live performances, made it easy for Our Time Down Here to share the stage with punk, hardcore, posthardcore, and metal bands alike, all over the Northeast. The summer of 2004 is bringing some major changes for Our Time Down Here. After finishing up the recording of a new EP, OTDH has faced their wagons westward. Living in New Jersey had provided an excellent home base, with so many shows happening in the North Jersey scene, as well as in New York, Baltimore, Providence, Boston, and every college town in between. Portland, Oregon will now be the epicenter for the earthquake of rock that’s about to hit the Pacific Northwest, and Our Time Down Here can’t wait to use their bi-costal sound to bring the bi-coastal pain.
