At first it was simply Doug on his own recording noisy beautiful collages of sound on his 4-track. Players would come and go but the Zo stayed on course. Eventually longtime friends Ron Redick and Bobby Kinne came on board and everything clicked. Today, Zonaea is performing a type of music that is truly unique. Their sound is chaotic beauty at its best. Robertson's urgent vocals and the band's wall of sound create a landscape of sound unlike any other. When the apocalypse comes, Zonaea will perform the soundtrack.
