radioman. born of dark, moody, metal roots in 2002, the individual members have been infecting the local area with twisted musical expression since the mid-80s in projects including dead river, roy, shrieking violets, and unit 30. previous styles ranged from old punk, to heavy syncopated metal. influences include tool, meshuggah, system of a down, henry rollins, toadies, filter, and helmet ... among others. the current output is aggressive, and entrancing.doug striley, formerly with ziplock and the body bags, and roy, lays down both creamy and aggressive vocals with appropriately contrasting growling and moody guitar-work. scott, formerly with unit 30, pounds out the grooving foundation with driving beats to both common and odd-time rhythms. dmf, formerly with shrieking violets and dead river, plays grinding, mean tone with accompanying attitude. radioman has independantly released one cd, intake.
