Interests? Oh my God, only LOSERS have those! Perhaps I could be persuaded to list some things I'm NOT interested in: Diet soda, vegetables, stuck-up people, people with no sense of humor, people who know everything, parents who teach their kids that a scorched-earth emotional policy is perfectly acceptable, college instructors who think they are teaching life lessons by being assholes, and as always, Hugh Jackman. I guess that just because I don't like those things doesn't make them NOT interests.....so those would be my interests then......but the only people who have interests are LOS.......I don't like where this is heading.
Oh man, I can't tell you how many nights I've lain awake just dying to meet some celebrity so that they can blow me off and pretend they're thankful for meeting me, their #1 fan! I'd love to meet the Texas Attorney General so that I could thank him or her for doing SO much homework to figure out what's best for my son; it's obvious that the state has his best interest at heart! I'd like to meet Tony Danza, just so that I can tell him that I think I've figured out who the boss is.....and that it's not him.Trent Reznor

It Takes A Man to be a DadMy favorite bands are Nine Inch Nails, Sevendust, Tears for Fears, Genesis, Prince and Public Enemy. I don't like any other music - other music is stupid. Sometimes I'll hear a song that I think I might like, but when I ask one of my incredible LEGION of friends 'who sings that?' and they give me an answer that does not involve Nine Inch Nails, Sevendust, Tears for Fears, Genesis, Prince or Public Enemy, I immediately resort to 'I hate this music, turn it off, my earsdrums are bleeding.' Yes, that is a veiled stab at the people who list every band they've ever heard of on this thing."OMG, I heard one song from Buckshot LeFonque in 1993 that was so amazing - I have to list them as one of my favorite bands ever! LOL OMG WP GG PWNZOR!!!1!!!111!!!1!!one!!one!!"
Well, I guess I enjoy the Bourne trilogy. I also enjoy the Matrix and the two sequels. I love Godzilla movies. Ironically, my favorite actors include Matt Damon and Keanu Reeves. Ryan Reynolds would have to be on that list too, along with Will Smith and George Clooney. No, I'm not gay. Favorite actresses include Dina Meyer, Nancy Travis, Jeri Ryan and Monica Bellucci, although I don't know or care if any of those women can act or not.
Arrested Development. I used to enjoy Scrubs, back when it was a drama with a comedic element that taught life lessons. Now it is (or wants to be) a comedy with a dramatic element that is just another soap opera and teaches nothing. Remember when JD was naive just like many of us? Remember when we learned with him? Remember when Perry taught him? I'll be glad when the show is over after this season. Congratulations Scrubs - you made good television history during your first two years and you've made bad television history during your last two. Then again, AD proved that truly exceptional programs don't last long - you have to be trendy and turn your show into "Friends" if you want any kind of longevity so that you can appeal to all the wee brains out there.
I still read Highlights Magazine. Poor Gallant - what will that crazy Goofus think of next?! But that's not really a book, is it. (Not really a question) Well, let me look through my personal library here and see what we've got going on. Hmmmm...looks like I've got the first two Harry Potter books, I'll save those in case the heat is out some cold night and I need something to burn. The Life of Reilly by Rick Reilly - pretty good book, a collection of his editorials in the back of SI. Looks like I haven't read any of this other crap. Is this thing asking for books I've read, or just wondering if I know what books are? It sure would be easier if these catagories were more specific. Perhaps I am supposed to give a definition for the word "books." Screw that, I've got enough to do without doing assignments for Tom. He's not even my friend anymore. I miss him sometimes.
My hero is me. If you knew more about me, I'd be your hero too. What I have accomplished and what I am accomplishing despite some odds and obstacles that I would characterize as being virtually insurmountable is really pretty amazing. I'm not sure what I'll do once I've finished turning the status quo on its ear, but I have some ideas that are really going to help some people and I'm really looking forward to putting those plans into action.
