Do You Really Want To Know?
I was born in Riverside California. I started taking guitar lessons when I was 11. After the first year of lessons, I gained interest in classical music. I spent the next two years studying classical style. After 3 and a half years of formal study, I started taking my playing to the next level and began studying independently. During that time I fell in love with everything that had to do with the guitar. 15 years later, here I am. Still fascinated by the guitar and playing as much as I can in any style. I play Rock, Metal, Blues, Funk, Classical and I'm making my way through Jazz. I earned a bachelors degree in music composition from UCR in June of 2006. I teach, play, compose, record and engineer. It's been a great journey, and is only getting better!
This myspace is designed to keep people informed on what I've done as well as what I'm currently doing in the world of music. Most of the music you hear has been composed by me. I play guitar, bass, piano, a little bit of drums, percussion, and vocals. Some friends of mine are featured on them as well (bass, drums, guitar & vocals)
Some of the music may not be metal...some of it IS down right silly...But I wrote it, arranged it, and played it...And it's funny so deal with it lol
I'm dedicating most of my time to my work with Serpent Underground right now. I do have plans on releasing new compositions...but please be patient. Even though it's going slow....It's still going.

NEW PROJECT IN PROGRESS!
I'm excited to announce that writing has commenced for my new solo project.
Recently I met with my great friend Mike Levitsky and we quickly got to work. Believe me when I say that there is absolutely no shortage of inspiration. The creativity between us has always been amazing, and this is no exception.
The writing process for this album is going to be very free. Each track will evolve from a series of jam sessions. After our first session, we already have an excellent foundation for the album and a large chunk of the first track complete.
This album is going very progressive, and in my opinion some of the best work we've ever done.
In case you couldn't tell, I'm extremely excited about what is to come.
Please be patient, this album is still in it's developmental stages and is going to take some time. . .
Until then, check out Mike's Myspace page HERE . He is truly an amazing drummer.
More Information To Come!

Songs
Crossing Worlds :
This is part of the intro of the first song off of the solo album. It features Mike Levitsky and myself. The song and the album have yet to be titled, however I used Crossing Worlds to label this. The reason being that Mike & I come from very different musical backgrounds, and the blend of styles each of us bring to the table crosses a number of different musical ideas and genres. Bare in mind, this is a very small taste of what's to come. But I just wanted to share a bit.

Sweet Surrender :
I composed this piece during my last quarter at UCR. It was kind of a response to Shabba Labba Ding Dong. I wanted something a little more mellow. I perfrom all rhythm, lead, guitars as well as bass. Mike Levitsky is on the drums. He did an awesome job complimenting my playing. I'm extremely pround of this tune.

Shabba Labba Ding Dong :
This was my first independent composition at UCR. Before this I was composing canons, fugues and stuff like that. So I let my Metal chops loose for this one. I based this tune off of the rhythmic feel when you actually say the words "Shabba Labba Ding Dong". If you listen to the first figure by the guitar you can hear the words. I got a lot of positive feedback on this one. Particularly at the slow section, and the harmonies. Once again I'm on all lead, rhythms, and bass with Mike Levitsky on the Drums. My only problem with this piece is during the recording we didn't quite get the drum sound I was looking for. I spent a long time trying to get the best sound I could. Mike did an awesome job recording, but the bleed through was a little much on the drum mics. I'll re-record this again so Mike & I can actually mic the drums the way we want to. But not bad for my first independent recording!

Crazy Stairs :
Hahahaha! This song was written by Mike & I. We are both huge fans of "Family Guy" and the idea of crazy stairs comes from the episode "Brian Goes to College". It is a reference that Stewie makes to MC Escher's "Relativity". For us, it became a term we used to describe something as crazy! This entire song was done by 2 people. Everything you hear is either Mike or Me. Ain't that some Crazy Stairs!? I'm on vocals, background vocals, rhythm guitar, lead guitar, clapping, and bass. Mike was on vocals, background vocals, rhythm guitar, lead guitar, clapping, drums and percussion.

This is a song off of Serpent Underground's "Devils of Flesh" album. I'm not actually playing on this song. We are currently in the studio recording our new album "The Lie". New songs will be updated as I can get it.
