With their 4th album “So far from god…so close to you“ the german Goth/Industrial/Rockband DAS SCHEIT follows its path to mix Electro and Metal consistently their really own way.
Besides, hardness, melody and dance ability keep the balance. With its hybrid-sound the band acts point-exact suitable for dancefloors, on the other hand it creates epics for perfect headphone-experiences at home.
Thematically the concept-album treats the isolation of an abandoned person which goes through the 5 phases of mourning and sorrow: Proclamation, denial, rage, discussion and completion, which divide the album lyrically into these 5 chapters.
Nevertheless enough possibilities remain to the listener to interpret the end of the story – for sure by own made experiences in everybodys life.
The 13 track album was recorded and produced by Markus Teske at Bazement Studios (Germany). As guest-musicians you can hear Jape Perätalo (TO/DIE/FOR) and Michelle Darkness (END OF GREEN) with their brilliant performances on the scheitanic version at 70..s cover of Bruce Springsteen/Patti Smith..s “Because the nightâ€.
Drums were done genious by former member Ulf S. Gokeler who was also involved during the songwriting-process!
