For the french touch : Sinclair, Cassius, Air, Bob Sinclar, Phoenix, Tahiti 80, Mirwais and Modjo. For the classics : love Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Nina Simone, Sarah Vaughan, Gilberto (father and daughter)... Most of the music that is played on Radio Nova or TSF (French radio stations). On the pop side I am a total Neptune and Pharell Williams fan (and all the artists they produced). House, deep house is good too. Love all the Hôtel Costes, Buddah Bar, l'Alcazar CDs. I REMEMBER that dance music I used to love to dance to : Finally (Cece Peninston), Strike it up (Blackbox),Hit (Sugarcubes) (...) still like it for the fun. I hate cheap rock, heavy metal, anything that sounds crancky or winny or too dark.

Spike Lee movies. Some Bernardo Bertolucci movies. John Hughes movies : 16 Candles, Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink and brat pack movie St Elmo's Fire. Also saw Tron recently and love the art direction (although it's from the 80's, it seems it influenced many movies, videos that were made later,...)See for yourselves :

Le parfum - Patrick Süskind the Devil Wears Prada and Everyone Worth Knowing - Lauren Weisberger,... Many bestellers that I have read some yrs ago are now being adapted into movies - I usually like the book better (as it's the case for the Devil Wears Prada) Anything by Elmore Leonard. Also french contemporary authors such as : Ann Scott, Lolita Pille, Samuel Benchetrit and Christine Orban, Biographies : Jane Fonda and Richard Branson Also enjoy american business books.
