About Me
Minitony is a UK DJ, born in Liverpool who has performed sets in England, Scotland, Brussels and San Francisco and now plays purely for friends, parties and sheer pleasure. His musical roots hail from the funky soul sounds of Jocelyn Brown, Mantronix, Rockers Revenge, David Joseph and old school electro which lend themselves to the vocal funky style that demands that you head for the dancefloor.
"My style would have to be dance, not house, not funk, not soul but dance...tunes people can dance to. There is nothing better than being up in front of a crowd and making those hips wiggle."
He has lived in England, Edinburgh, Belgium, San Francisco and now has settled, for now in Columbus, Ohio.
In his spare time (sic), he heads up a really cool technology company where he wrote the patents to put the internet onto trains and underground transit systems through the electricity wires. Never been done before and is an exciting work in progress. When you can finally use your cell phone on the subway, think of minitony and his technology.
"My parents give good head"
Minitony loves travelling with his wife and has been truly blessed to see some amazing places and do some really cool things; climbing to Everest Base camp, swimming with over 200 dolphins in Kaikoura, New Zealand, scuba diving off the Great Barrier Reef and with his fear of heights, jumping out of a perfectly good airplane at 12,000 feet without a parachute (Okay the guy strapped to his back was wearing one). Due to the englsih skin which is a light blue and takes a week of sun just to turn white, he shys away from the beaches and spends his would be holiday beach time time searching out record stores for vinyl gems.
He also likes pizza, kicking ass at pool, karting any where on any track, absolutely anything UFC, almost any type of vinyl music, especially original electro & 1960s Bossa Nova and Samba.
He does not like early mornings, people without a humour gland, cold mornings or bulls balls as delicacy no matter how you say it in spanish.
"Always a funky edge to the music, comes from the soul stuff I liked when I was younger. If it was up to me, it would have the harder edge but retain a funky deep side to it but that isn't always for the crowd so I play the handbag stuff too. (Don't tell anyone but I have a bit of a secret Diva luvva thing going on so the handbag is okay by me)."
What's handbag?
The wee girlies on the dancefloor with their skimpy tight short skirts and they fluorescent boob tubes, all in a little circle dancing round their handbags with the white patent high heels with the dainty hands in the air.(you know who you are)
