Vissi d'arte. Vissi d'amore.

About Me

I'm a singer... I've got a little diva in me. Deal with it.
I believe that America's greatest musicians should be taught about America's greatest music... Not just Aaron Copeland and George Gershwin, but Robert Johnson and Jimi Hendrix too.
I believe it is ridiculous that our nation's universities, which are supposed to be leaders of liberal thinking, are still teaching a cirriculum dominated by rich white males.
I believe that the civil rights war in this country is still being fought,
and that it is our generation's responsibility to end it.
"It ain't what you know, it's what you feel. Don't worry 'bout bein' right, just be for real."
"Ah, but a man's reach should exceed his grasp, or what's a heaven for?" - Robert Browning
"A life without sorrow is like a rose without thorns- There is no such thing." - My grandmother
Be free from the need to be free.
You Are Surrealism
Dreamy and idealistic, you've created a world that is all your own.
It's very likely that you've either dabbled in drugs or are naturally trippy.
You are always trying to push beyond the boundaries of your culture and society.
You believe that art, love, and freedom can change the world.
"Then to my raptured ear,
Let one sweet song be giv'n.
May music charm me last on Earth
And greet me first in Heav'n."
