About Me

My name is John-Paul Jones. Really. Yes, that's my name. No, I wasn't named after the Revolutionary War naval captain, no I wasn't named after the bassist from Led Zeppelin, and no I wasn't named after the pope. With that aside, I work a normal day job to pay for bills and such. After work you can usually find me at a rehearsal for one of the two bands I play in. Fat Daddy Has Been, a ska/hip-hop influenced band out of Wilmington,DE and The New Kings of Rhythm, a funk/reggae/blues band out of the West Chester area. Also if it is that time of year, you can find me working with a high school marching band program. I stay pretty busy and I like it that way.

Back to the Future?!

Well, it seems lately I have been thinking a lot about what to do with my life. I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that my grandmother had a very bad stroke on Thanksgiving day. Seeing a woma...

Frustration

This particular blog is just a rant about my weekend teaching marching band and the fact that TOB can really suck big monkey balls. This is my 10th season teaching at Haverford, so I figure with the c...
