First and foremost, I am a lucky individual. In looking to my past, I realize now that I have been extremely fortunate to be surrounded by fantastic people who have all been able to teach me some important life lesson. To those who are reading this: I thank you. In general I’m a fun, opinionated guy; however, it may take a bit of time to get me talking. Once you do get to know me however, I tend to make it my goal to make you laugh. I like to consider myself a loyal friend, truly seeking to support those important to me. I’m still not a huge club kid as something about the “scene” makes me feel slightly self-conscious. I have tended to engage the gay community – and indeed the community at large – through my volunteer work in public policy and health advocacy, something I have always found to be extremely rewarding. I tested out of high school after sophomore year and never really looked back; rather, I attended community college and spent a number of productive years working in the automotive industry as I searched for my passion. I discovered that the idea of public relations intrigued me and I chose to pursue a degree in that subject. This meant it was time to make a move. I left Northern California, San Diego bound, as I had been accepted to one of the top public relations programs in the country. During my time at San Diego State University I decided to also include Political Science as my second major as it seemed complimentary to my interests. And while I may have traveled along the coast, I have always been (and likely will always be) a true California Boy at heart. Please do not misunderstand, I have visited other places and I find them beautiful; however, I see where I belong. Now I seek to start my career, my life really as an independent adult… let’s hope it goes well ;)
