Hello Everybody!!!
To Kill For first started off with Jr. Angulo on Drums, Cezar Osuna on Guitar, Michael Wright on Guitar, Anthony Ramirez doing Vocals , and Jordan Lopez on Bass.
At first we had a lot of different sounding songs. Trying to find identity for ourselves because we were all influenced by many different genres of bands and things it was hard to have a “certain†sound, one that would separate us from the rest.
For several months we played countless shows at local venues such as The Tiki Room, and The Vault in Pomona, as well as The Alley in Fullerton. To Kill For began to gain more experience as a band and as musicians, and songs started getting more structured and lyrics became more meaningful. But just when we thought things were going great, our guitarist Michael Wright decided to leave on mutual terms to seek his own path. Feeling that this could be the end for To Kill For was in some of our minds because allot of the song writing process was with Mike. We played mores shows as a 4 piece and we quickly began to realize that allot of power that the songs had with two guitarist were gone.
We needed to do something quick, so we decided turn up the HEAVINESS by putting down the 4 and 6 string bass and guitar and picking up the 7 and 5â€s and drop tuning them as far as they can go with out sounding too muddy. This was the Rebirth of To Kill For. We quickly recorded and things just got even better for us. People finally got to hear us for what we really are, so this made getting shows and fans allot easier.
Noticing that we still wanted more from ourselves and the band we knew we had to get somebody else on guitar so we were in search for the perfect person to handle axe. Soon in enough he had found us, Sean Nolan a great guitarist and a great guy instantly fitted in with the tk4 family. We had finally found that “certain†sound we were looking for.
Now we are getting allot bigger Shows at places like the Galaxy Theater, House of Blues, and The Whiskey. Playing with bigger and better bands and just getting a bigger fan base.
To Kill For as a band will not fail, we will keep pushing forward and take on this crazy world with even more powerful music and lyrics then before . We need all the help and support we can get. We love all our fans and friends and will support them just as much as they support us!!!
