Los Internationals were formed in May 2004 with the intention of only performing one show. We got the name because one guy was from Canada (Kent), one from the U.S. (Christopher) and three from Mexico (Ernesto, “Doc†and Chino). Christopher the leader and founder wanted to put on a show that was really “unplugged†using only acoustic guitars, snare drum, flute and four vocals. However after doing that first show three of us (Christopher, “Doc†and Ernesto) wanted to keep going. A short time later Tom from Ireland joined the group. This line up lasted about six months then “Doc†left. The three reaming members keep playing for the next year and a half. Sometimes joined by bass player “Big†Ben (U.S.) and guitar player Ricardo (Mexico). After a falling out with the drummer Ernesto, Christopher and Tom continued with help from Ben on bass, Larry on lead guitar (U.S.) and Daniel on drums (Mexico). This line up lasted until the end of last summer. We got what we thought was a permanent drummer Victor (Mexico) who also sang, but alas after six months of hard work he abandoned us to go back home and live with his mother. Although while Victor was still in the band a good friend of Christopher’s who is a kick ass lead guitar player Mark (U.S.) came from Mississippi to stay for three months. We put on some killer shows, but now it’s time to start over again.
We’ve just stared working with a new lead guitar player Daniel Rendon who’s from Tijuana, he also sings.
