About Me

1998-2004.
LaShawn is pretty much dead. Info below is somewhat outdated but still true. I figured its better to put my music somehwere instead of hiding it in my apartment.
LaShawn is not a person, its merely a name that represents music. Music with roots that digs deep into cinematic scores from present day back to the 1950´s. The result is a soul arrangement that tries to give praise to its architects; Elmer Bernstein, Quincy Jones, Ennio Morricone and many many more.. LaShawn has had some different line-ups over the years but now consists only of Daniel Anttila, born in -77.
LaShawn has so far produced two demos; in 1998 "Once Upon A Time" was assembled. This demo contained 5 tracks and some live instruments such as saxophone and guitar. The musical style and production then was perhaps a bit rougher and cleaner.
Second demo, "Days Of My Weeks" was finished late 2001 and also featured a video to one of its track (The Fifth Day). "Days Of My Weeks" contained 9 tracks all mixed toghether.2002 Promo contains two tracks from earlier release "Days Of My Weeks" + two new tracks recorded spring/summer 2002.
