Sebastian (Sculpting Studio)

Sebastian was born 1977 in Eisenach-Germany. Very early he started to develop his artistic perspective of the world that surrounded him. His natural environment seemed to be of a purely didactic and analytic interest to him. His focus was the morphological coherence of functionality ad it's expression in organical structure and quality. After finishing school he became a dental technician and produced bridgeworks, crowns and orthodontic devices. He specialized in gingival aesthetic and implantation. But the reconstruction of just one biological structure was destined to fail his demand for complexity and detail. So he started to work as restorer and illustrator at the faculty of natural science in Erlangen. Here he was able to extent his artistic skills far beyond the limits of the mostly mould-making of his former profession. Apart from his day to day business he spend long nights to produce his own expression of the topics that moved him. He created his own library of sculptures and drawings. And for the very displeasure of those who prefer the finer smells of life, he started to experiment with Polyester and fiber glass reinforcement.The unique specimens protect for the common people too expensive and for art collectors not enough art.In 1999 Sebastian stayed in Switzerland, where he for H.R.Giger his active activity as a Sculpteur unfolded.In this time he created sculptures for Giger's Zodiak-Project.Since 2003 Sebastian works as a designer and Sculpteur for Chris Creatures Filmeffects in Berlin.In 2005 Sebastian's Sculpting-Studio founds.(www.sculpting-studio.com)Since november 2006 Sebastian has worked as an instructor at the citizen of Munich university of applied sciences.
