On my way to china!!

what the deuce!?

About Me

I should have been born sometime in the 30s or 40s or I should have been a fish. I love apples with peanut butter, bubbles, and chapstick in a pretty intense fasion. I am at best optimistic, idealistic, supportive, malleable, charming, inspired, curious, relaxed, artistic. At worst - self-doubting, weak-willed, inconsistent, reclusive, melancholy, thoughtless. I love to travel and I use it as a vehicle for self-discovery. I'm not presently too terribly fond of long term commitments. I would love to teach high school history one day and take field trips to ft. sumter and the like. I have been more than blessed with a stunningly wonderful family and a mother who instilled solid values and character in me, and someday, SHOULD i have children, I will aspire to be like her. I love dancing like a crazy person and I love all my girls (you know who you are :) I'm also a big fan of shark week and the civil war.________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ __

Your Passion is Purple!
You've got a ton of passion, but you don't always wear it on your sleeve.
If something truly excites you, you let your inner intensity shine through.
But otherwise, your passion tends to morph into energy ... which you never lack.
You're a balanced woman, knowing when to turn on the fire in your heart. What Color is Your Passion?---------
I believe you choose your own mood despite your circumstances.
I believe in public service.
I believe music has the singular power of bringing joy and sorrow and the ability to enliven one's very soul. Simon and Garf, Bobs Marley and Dylan, etc.
I believe that calories consumed for birthdays, holidays, and pms don't count.
I believe in doing things that scare yourself so you dont fall asleep and miss life.
I believe in being careful with people's hearts and minds, and that if they truly love you they will be careful with yours.
I believe in life in other galaxies. only I doubt they'd be slimy or green or hellbent on galactical domination. Although the book Ender's Game is thoroughly convincing in its depictions....
I believe Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel have single handedly changed my life since the 6th grade.
I believe in dancing like you've lost your damn mind and not caring if people look at you funny.
I believe in love, even if i give all the appearances of being appropriately skeptical.
I believe in the transforming power of travel.
I believe ignorance is unacceptable and should cause physical pain.
I believe girlfriends and copious amounts of chocolate can fix just about anything.
I believe that we get better as we get older.
I believe that, like my mom says, if you store cookies up high, some of the calories (which are widely known to be afraid of heights) will jump out and those that don't can be shaken out of the cookie if you break it in half and shake gently.
I believe flutes are sissy instruments. if you can't kill someone with it, or hide someone in its case then why even bother.
I believe in tolerance.
I believe love is love: man, woman, black, white, whatever.
I believe that I really was supposed to be born black.
I believe in books, good plain cardboard boxes, fun dress-up clothes including tutus and 1980s prom dresses, card games/board games/made up games you played with your cousins at grandmas house, arts and crafts and of course (and especially) God. OH...and world peace. :)
I believe Harry Potter is real and if I hadn't had the poor luck of being born a muggle, I think we might have been friends even though I would most likely have been in Hufflepuff.
I believe goofy and charming is like a million times better than too cool for school and hott. i'd rather laugh.
I believe there just may be very big things for me in my future if I can get my act together and put God in the drivers seat again.
I have learned that very few things are as simple as black and white.
I have learned some days I'm ahead, some days I'm behind and I'd rather be happy and strong than miserable, weak and thin.
I have learned that my family is the single most important thing in my life (and family includes my true friends).
I have learned that it's better to take the high road and live above reproach than sink to someone elses level for momentary gratification and then realize you're no better than them in the long run.
I have learned to see opportunity for growth in everything.
I have learned that I still have so so very much to learn.
