About Me

Me - about me - hmmm! Not much to tell. I am almost 40, still single and trying to get on my feet again. I had my life planned out, but that didn't work, so I am trying it again. I will probably never get married since I am not actively looking. If it happens - it happens!(it just doesn't fit into things at this point). Although there is someone I like... I guess time will tell. Right now, I am concentrating my efforts on re-working my life. I am turning the page and starting a new chapter. I am putting things right that for so long haven't been; nailing down new boards to those bridges I burned while still standing on them. Hopefully those that I hurt will forgive me and love me enough to let me start over. I have a sweet, little 10 yr old niece(Jenna) that I devote most of my free time to. She means just about the whole world to me. I don't know what I would ever do if I didn't have my little "Jennabug" in my life. It would certainly be empty. I also have 3 nephews Max and Nic, my brothers kids and Robyn, my sisters oldest. Robyn (Jenna's older brother) is 32 and married to Misty; she is the mother of Makiah Coakley(an up and coming Christian music artist (see the link below)). There are three other nieces to mention - Angel and Amber(Jenna's older sisters) and Brittany from my step-sister. That's it for the humans - now the animal. I have a little dog; her name is "Libby", short for Liberty (because I liberated her from the pound). She is a beautiful red beagle mix - (maybe?). I sometimes call her "motorola butt" because she has a little white mark just under her *a-hem* tail in the shape of the motorola symbol. I will put some pics of her on here someday... actually, Angel will probably do that for me. And, that's about it... not much more to tell.

Music:

Christian music mostly. Carmen, Jeremy Camp, Tobymac, Kutless, Matthew West, Casting Crowns, Todd Agnew, FFH, Phillips Craig and Dean, Newsboys (you get the picture). And, I never thought I would hear myself say this but, my dad's kind of music - easy listening. LOL George Michael will always hold a special place in my heart: his music has always had a special connection. I am softening to rap, heavy metal and hard rock. My era was the 80's.

Movies:

Anything Star Trek (big trekkie fan), "Somewhere In Time" with Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour (my all-time favorite movie)(probably because it was the last movie my mom and I went to see before she died), all the animated Disney movies (watched them dozens of times because of Jenna), Adventure movies and Sci-Fi. I hate brainless and stupid comedies.

Television:

Charmed is what I was watching until it was ended. I guess I'll have to find something new to get into. I am into the Hallmark Channel, the Disney Channel, TNT, and HGTV. Lately the Weather Channel has been of particular interest; I guess that is a clear sign of "old age". Also, old reruns (The Big Valley, Bonanza, Bewitched, Dynasty and all the Star Treks).

Books:

I really don't like to admit this but, I HATE to read. So, If you send me an email that is long-winded and drawn out, chances are - I probably won't read it all the way through if I read it at all(SORRY)!!! I only read what I have to...menus, street signs, bill collection notices ...

Heroes:

Lee Majors was always my "hero" and still is. My brother Terry, we are finally getting it right as brothers. He is amazing and is very knowledgable when it comes to ANYTHING! And, although it's a little hard for me to admit, I have always looked up to my dad, even when things weren't good between us. I wish we could have had the kind of relationship most fathers and sons share.
