I have a great dislike of television, I much prefer BBC Radio 4 , the archers and a cup of tea... nice. Resonance Fm and kids making pirate radio in their bedrooms.... www.alluc.org this website is great. watch your favourite cartoons and stuff but don't have to watch commercials. YEY! Southpark, family guy, simpsons... the holy trinity of moving things that you watch. (with sound)
Massive Change by Bruce Mau... if you ever design anything or plan to in future read this book its inspiring. To be honest I'm more of a magazine reader ... purple journal and purple fashion. I've recently discovered 032c lovely publication with everything from essays on current cultural theory and critique to wierd fashion spreads.
Gaia - the living organism that is the Earth. Its simply incredible this planet. James Lovelock aka mr. gaia hypothesis read his books they'll change your vision of the planet you live on. Yes! Global warming is real and it is now about us adapting to it pronto. Cutting carbon emissions by 20% by 2020 is NOT GOING TO DO VERY MUCH! its all about being in the moment, here and now is the time. There are many simple things we can all do to lower our carbon footprints. turning off lightswitches, buying energy efficent light bulbs.... taking showers.... buying organic and/or local and i must say clothing wise there is some fabulous 2nd hand clothes out there. If you're in London check out the salvation army in oxford circus just off hanover square and the red cross shop off the brompton road near south kensington. Brilliant vintage and the money goes towards a good cause! You can also find out your carbon footprint ... just google what's my carbon footprint? ........ no really, do. by the way remember guys "you can't do business on a dead planet"
