"This Hammer Fell From The Sky"--NOW AVAILABLE

About Me

This hammer fell from the sky in the fall of 2006 and landed squarely in the center of Tennessee: Murfreesboro to be exact. Born into the exceedingly saturated musical world called Nashville, Hammertorch is an artistic retreat amongst industrial giants. They have taken the musical textures that are associated with Nashville and built an indestructible vehicle of original expression. Hammertorch’s honest, blue-collar approach has awarded them a loyal fan base and an exceptional reputation. Their musical flavor can best be described as a unique blend of alternative-country and rock, with a hint of combustive volatility. The sound was widdled down from a mountain of influences ranging from Neil Young and the Band to Wilco and My Morning Jacket. The Nashville Rage has dubbed as a "classic country rock outfit." Hammertorch is classic in the sense that it is a familiar sound to most. However, superb songwriting, an eclectic repertoire and an overwhelming surplus of raw energy separate Hammertorch from your average pickers. Since embarking on a quest to tackle Nashville, the fire of Hammertorch has spread hastily. The recent release of their debut EP, This Hammer Fell From The Sky, has only strengthened the flame.
