I am here for Friends

About Me

I am 19 years old, a student at Gavilan college, and the oldest of 2 children. I have two cats and a dog, and am in the process of adopting a bird. i am always on the lookout for another pet. I love the color green, but hate the color orange, love corned beef, but hate all seafood, even though my mother thinks I love it. I love playing soccer and watching ice hockey, and love going to Sharks games whenever someone wants to give me free tickets.

My Interests

I love decorating and re-arranging my room, going to the movies, bowling, sleeping, and playing Majong on my computer. I would like to be able to say I like playing board games, but no one around here likes to play, so I don't get to. I like to read, draw Disney characters, and watch reruns of my favorite shows on TV

I'd like to meet:

Anyone who is williing to talk about anything and everything.

Music:

I love anything old, like The Four Seasons, Diana Ross, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, or the Beach Boys. I also have grown up with and love groups like the Eagles, Beatles, Queen, Journey, Abba, Genesis, Creedence Clearwater Revival, plus singers like Boz Scaggs, Marshall Tucker, Greg Kihn, or Hall and Oats. And as much as I would like to deny it, i absolutly love Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, early NSYNC, LFO, 98*, Five, Bewitched, Steps, even the Spice Girls. I also love all those one or two-hit wonders like Jennifer Paige, Hoku, Rick Astley, and as much as I hate to say it, I find Vanilla Ice an interesting character. The only things that I really hate are heavy metal, opera, and rap that swears more than sings.

Movies:

Any movie that makes me laugh or cry. action movies really don't interest me, and complex dramas that win academy awards I find really boring. Anything with Colin Farrel is a plus, simply because he's so hot that it seems to make the movie better (at least to me). The old movies with John Wayne, like McLintock or El Dorado are some of the best movies ever made, so those I would watch at any time. Don't give me anything that has some deep, hidden message that you really have to look for, because I simply don't care enough to really look for it. Also, no gorey, scarry, or horror movies. I am working my way up to being able to watch them, but the worst I can watch right now is The Bone Collector, and that is, to my family, barely even a thriller or suspense (does that tell you anything?). Also, i ablsolutly worship Disney cartoons. Not the new ones, but the old ones, like Dumbo, Cinderella, the Rescuers, Aladdin, ect.

Television:

I like almost anything on TV. I will watch just about anything except The Simple Life or The Newelyweds. Those two are the only shows out there that I really can't stand. I love Friends, CSI, That 70's Show, The Nanny, Spin City, Survivor, Las Vegas, even the OC, although I haven't really gotten to eatch it much this season.

Books:

I will read just about anything, but my absolute favorites are Harlequin romance novels. I just love anything that is about love and the problems those in it face, specially if there is a villan who tries to steal the object of desire from the main character.

Heroes:

I don't really have any heros. I haven't met anyone that I really look up to. The only person that ever even comes close is my friend Erin. she has a personality and a spirit that is inspiring, and I am a better person for knowing her, and extremely lucky that she considers me a close friend. Of all the people that I know, she is the only one that I would be truly depressed if I ever lost her from my life.
