I'm 28 (or I've been 19 for 9 years as I like to look at it! - plus I still get ID'd), I live in Central London and my life currently reads as a series of rejections, failures and alcohol fueled misadventures!
I love music and listen to it pretty much every waking minute, even when I'm watching TV or DVDs. I listen to and play many styles including pop, rock, alternative, grunge, emo, classical, hip-hop, funk, soul and jazz. I've been playing the bass guitar for 6 years, although in my time I've played violin (to grade 5), recorder, piano, lead guitar & rhythm guitar (both for 6 years) and clarinet. Oh yeah, and I have been know to DJ (as far a field as Hong Kong and South Africa, and supporting acts such as Rodney P, Fingathing, Adam F, Jehst, Trevor Nelson, Lemar, Lady Sovereign, Blade, The X-Ecutioners and many more) and I used to produce music and DJ (as my alias Joe Lung ). I also used to run a night called [Beats]iality , join our group here .
I am far too spontaneous for my own good, and I sure there are many people my age with the whole wife, kids and mortgage thing that would tell me I need to grow up, but that doesn't look that likely anytime soon. Example - I recently spent my £340 rent money on a Louis Vuitton wallet (f*ck knows why), went out on the piss, and lost it (along with all my cards). Clever. (Bring back those days, Christ, I pay that amount of rent fortnightly now)
I am also an expert in the art of losing mobile phones. My personal best was 14 in one month back in 2002, which includes a day when I lost 4! My total since 1997 is somewhere between 50 and 60, although I'm yet to lose 1 sober or get 1 robbed (as far as I can remember - which aint far).
Another of my favourite pass times is waking up in random places after drinking silly amounts of booze. Prime examples of this would include waking up in a lift in a hotel in Hong Kong at 4pm, I'd been unconcious in there since 8am apparently and when I woke there was a family of very frieghtened oriental folk huddle in 1 corner, whilst I had the rest to myself! Another example was waking up on the roof of a high rise block of flats in Leeds, I was 12 storeys up and covered in anti-climb paint. I was completely locked in by a 6ft+ fence covered in barbed-wire, it took 4 hours to get down, so God only knows how the fuck I got up there after a bottle of gin!! I was recently reminded of an occasion when I woke up under a brick wall in York. By all account I was trying to leave a party via the back yard, must have tried to scale the wall, it couldn't handle it, and decided to to collaps on top of me, knocking me unconscious, only to be woken up in the morning by the house owner!! Another quality night... My personal favourite was waking up on my mum's lawn, with my house keys in the front door - she does not know this, so keep it to yourself!!
