The Bengals will be a total different look this year. The Bengals graduated Star Running Back, Jahmal Brown, who is headed to Bowling Green State University on football scholarship. The defensive backfield and linebackers as well as interior offensive line suffered a loss from last season.
The offense will still be at the helm of Coach Art Bortnick and will feature a heavy running attack as always with Sophomore Anthony Urbania leading the way for the running backs. The Offense will be led by Senior Quarterback Najee Goode, Goode has looked solid so far this off season and did well in training camp. He will have targets in Wide Reciever, Sam Amidon and Tight End, Christian Hanna as well as Kevin Conochan and Eric Thomas playing in the H-Back roll. The offensive line will be lighter this year averaging 246 pounds across the front but with great strength in the trenches, the holes will be there for the running backs.
The defense led by Seniors Eric Thomas and Terry Schaefer will be a hard hitting one, a solid defensive line with some questions behind it. There is still not a set defense for week 1. There are two open linebacker positions and that seems to be up for grabs between Christian Hanna, Anthony Urbania, and Onyi Iheama.
