About Me

I am a very down-to-earth person. I love the outdoors, nature, animals. I love being by the water in the summertime. Can you believe that I've started crocheting again, I'm making a baby blanket; my nephew and his girlfriend are expecting their firstborn, and the family is thrilled. I have three kids, my oldest is 31, then I have a 16 year old and a 14 year old. They're great and I'm very proud of them. I just got two kittens from Stray Haven in December. They are so much fun to watch. I wish I had their energy. I'm playing bass guitar occasionally with my brother and his friend. We used to play many many years ago, and we got so busy with our lives; but now we have come back to playing music, and we have a lot of fun. I would never play for money again, but it's fun playing at family
Create your own Friend Quiz here get-togethers. I've started reading again. I was a real bookworm in high school, but life got too busy. Right now, I'm reading "Cell" by Steven King.

My Interests

gardening; crafts; music; swimming; camping; hiking; watching movies

I'd like to meet:

Ohhhhh.... I have to admit that I have a huge crush on Keith Urban. If I could meet him, I could die, and the undertaker would not be able to wipe the smile from my face. But seriously, I am very impressed with everyday people. I especially like people who help children, teach them, and show them how to grow into great adults.

Music:

My daughter has me listening to Green Day now. I like the music from my youth such as Three Dog Night, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Cat Stevens, etc.

Movies:

The Notebook with James Garner really got me thinking. I like Sci Fi movies, like Stephen King (The Stand, It, ) I just saw Meet Joe Black with Brad Pitt and Anthony Hopkins. I thought that was a good movie

Television:

Law and Order, Without a Trace, X-files, Stargate Series, and I have to admit that I watch a Soap Opera now. (All My Children: one of the actors looks like Brad Pitt)

Books:

Mysteries; I read Agatha Christie books as a teenager. I like Harry Potter books. Steven King books. Anything that keeps my interest. I just read Tommyknockers, and now I'm reading Cell.

Heroes:

My late husband, he had cancer, and fought it very bravely. I see a lot of "everyday" heroes, people who face adversity and do the very best they can are true heroes. I think the people who died on 9/11/01 were true heroes, whether they were office workers, people on airplanes, or police and fire fighters.
