About Me

So.......
I guess this is where I tell you who I am.
Is there a character limit on this? 'Cause I do tend to ramble. Well here goes!
I'm Alli, Alli-son, Alli-Gator, Jawja, or one of the many other names I'm called. After kissing many a toad, this princess finally met her prince charming to whom she's been happily married to for 2 years, and dating for 6 years. Now I did have to go all the way to West Virginia and charm him with my sweet southern ways and south Georgia drawl, *gets those Yankees every time jk* but hey it worked! He is not only cute as can be, but also does dishes and laundry, and spoils me rotten. I know I'm a lucky girl! Add to that that not only did I nab my prince, who it turns out was really a king, but he came along with the most beautiful princess in the world. Go figure, went from princess to queen all in one day. Gotta love fairy tales! I am lucky to say that she is one of my favorite people in the world, along with one of my best friends. She is my inspiration. She sings, she dances, she acts, and she can take a mean picture. Granted some of them are of extremely strange faces she makes, but hey whatever floats ya boat. I know it keeps me amused watching her. How I got so lucky I'll never know *looking up above and saying thank you* Luv you Monkey!
Here is where I break it down:
*Proud mommy of a Himalyan cat Sir Toulouse von Fancy Pants (Toulouse for short of course), a bunny Boudreaux, and a Havanese puppy LouisianaÃ?s Snooky Crawdad Cousteau (Snooky for short).
*Yes, I do love some strange names, but hey they amuse me.
*Born and Raised in Statesboro GA. Yeppers, I know about them Statesboro Blues. It may be small, but we got one heck of a football team. Go Blue Devils!
*Graduated from the best darn university in the world ...the University of Georgia. I am all about the Red and Black and proudly wear my colors in the sea of purple of yellow down here. Nothing better in the world than sitting back watching the Dawgs play whether it is at Sanford Stadium or down at Carrollton Station with all the other UGA alums. Geez I love the sound of Go Dawgsssssss Sic Em or How Bout Them Dawgs?
*I live on the Northshore of Lake Ponchatrain or across the lake from New Orleans. I moved to New Orleans about 7 years ago on a whim and fell in love with the city.
*I pass the time managing a world of singing, dancing, and storybooks. I love what I do and wouldn't trade it for the world. What other job do you have where you get told you are loved and beautiful and receive hugs everyday? I'm known as Miss Alli-Gator, but make sure you understand one thing. There are Alli-Gators ,and then there are the Florida Gators. Make no mistake there is nothing about a Florida Gator I like, but I do love those Alli-Gators!
*I love to travel and discover new places, meet new people, and explore the stories and traditions behind a city. Historical cities are my favorite.
*I'm very close with my family even though they live 10 hours away. My mom is my best friend, my big brother is my hero, and my niece is my heart and soul.
*My friends complete me. Those I bond with are my friends for life. I am blessed with the best friends a girl can have. They live all over, and I love getting together with them and hanging out like we've never been apart. My bestest friend in the world I've had since we were 2 and 3 years old. She is still the one I call to share with, rejoice with, complain with, and act completely stupid with. We also tend to do major steps in life side by side. Did I mention we the queens of Barbieland, can dance like it's nobody's business, and together we are unstopable!
*This has been a bit hectic and emotional year. I have lived in 3 different states, quit 2 jobs, gotten 3 new jobs, and lost my best friend/dogoydeans about newors.o6ors8ohave li.e ue I could blame the majority of this on Hurricane Katrina, but the fact is some of this started before she even came to town.
*Hurricane Katrina not only changed my life, but it also changed my priorities and my outlook on life. Life is too short to worry about the small things. You tend to wors.the important ones. You have to cher ue what o6o've been given and appreciate those around o6o.
* New Orleans will be back and will be better than ever. Soon I will be back doing my favorite thingsoydemy city: going to the Audubon zoo and aquarium,e stolling through the antique shops on Magazine St., eating king cake, watching Mardi Gras parades, dancing at my favorite spots on Bourbon, and enjoying a good ole Hurricane or Hand Grenade. If o6o've never been here, then you have to come visit! There's no place like it.
*Though there have been many changes and challenges this year, I know that someone up above was always looking out for me. We made it through and are stronger than ever. When life throws rooha at ya, remember that ducking and swerving always pay off. If o6o get knocked in the head, then just shake it off and learn to pay attention.
*Thanks for stopping by my page and listening to my frequent ramblings. Feel free to leave me a hello if o6o'd like (as long as it's a nice hello). I hope you enjoy my page and my snapshots of the important people, places, and times ydemy life.
Remember beginningsoare scary, endingsoare usually sad, but the middle is what counts!

My Interests

Myspace Layouts - Myspace GraphicsI love: watching the Georgia Bulldogs whether it's at Sanford Stadium or with the alumni at Carrollton Station, taking road trips as long as I have good tunes and big Diet Coke with ice, going to a Zephyers game and watching the fireworks afterwards, swimming (doing not watching), Alligators but not the Florida Gators, laughing with my friends, hugs, recieving flowers for no particular reason, kisses, random acts of kindness, curling up with a good book and comfy blanket, singing at the top of my lungsoto my favorite songs, getting an unexpected phone call from an old friend and catching up, going and listening to bands especially Better than Ezra and Cowboy Mouth, going to the movies and getting popcorn, Winnie the Pooh, Disneyworld, shopping till I drop, laying in bed and watching old 80's movies, finding a good deal, spending a day at the spa getting pampered, taking long walks on the lakefront with my hunny and Snooky, roohing on the front porch with my family at Pawley's Island with a toddy Uncle Tommy has concoted, mail that isn't a bill, making others smile, coming up with something and then having it come together, meeting new people, snuggling, organizing thingsoand putting them in order, kayaking, and discovering new things, sitting out on the patio and watching Snooky play, going to the beach, screaming "throw me something mister" at Mardi Gras parades, visiting zoos, traveling new places, sitting on the beach with drink in hand, feet in the sand, and water lapping at my toes, and most of all dancing like I've never danced before! These are a few of my favorite things.Take a moment to watch this montage to honor the first anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. Thank you to anyone and everyone who helped out, donated, and sent prayers and thoughts to those victims of Hurricane Katrina. "This is our love, This is our life, This is our home, Louisiana, This is our day, come what may, This is our home. "..

Ok so I tried to narrow this down to only 20 but couldn't do it. I feel like there are so many more, but alas there is only so much room.
