Ok punters, it's honesty time. We're tired of our band name. I think Lee is more so than the rest of us, but we are a democracy (make a note of that) and therefore a change is on the way. You see, it comes down to two things, maybe even three. Firstly, now that Will and Marc have joined the band, well, really, it ain't the same band. The new music we have been churning out is the product of combined efforts on the parts of only the current members, and as such, we need a new band name to reflect the fact that we are evolving into essentially a new band, with more fresh tracks coming very soon that will further represent our emerging unique sound and style.
Secondly, we're tired of ripping off the mars volta (see: roulette dares, the haunt of) While the more-or-less obvious appropriation of volta's original material may not be counter-productive, it sure as hell doesn't help our aim of being truly original. Plus, we recognise that some people can be totally superficial and we'd (or at least I would) just like to minimise the number of distractions when trying to appreciate our music. Though, if any fan was to be so superficial as to whinge about our band name being stolen from mars volta, we (again, maybe it's just me) probably wouldn't mind if they weren't our fan. Don't tell Lee I said that though. "Look at it this way, it's one more person at our gig"
At the end of the day, it's a logical choice as we move forward as a band. For me, it's symbolic. A transition from the old to the new. For Lee, who isn't the biggest fan of emotional smack, it's just a matter of being sick of the name, pure and simple.

Now, as I said earlier, our band is a democracy. Therefore, we will be compiling a list of ideas for the new name and will be posting those names right here. We are asking that you leave us a comment as to which is your favourite. We will compile the votes and that should give us an indication. However, we retain veto power, and we will probably use it. But thanks in advance for your input all the same.
Any way! The band is made up of Lee, Chris, Will and Marc and have been making sounds together since early '07. Earlier in the year we completed our "solar life demo". We hold no illusions about its place in our development. It was an experience to make, an invaluable one at that, but ultimately its true value is that it serves as a constant reminder of how much better we need to- and can- be.
Since the start of this year, we have played at a range of different venues, including Ding Dong, Revolver, The Tote, Live @ Crown, Barbukka and Click Click. In the immediate future, our plan is to keep writing and polishing. In the months to come, we will record another demo, with a handful of our new tracks. We'll keep you posted.
