Insight Studios began to manifest conceptually in June
of 2005. The vision was to build a creative facility
that was home to talented artists and “progressiveâ€
thinkers. Housed in glass block and polished diamond
plate, the overall feel of Insight Studios is clean,
professional, creative and comfortable. Your safety
and comfort are top priorities at Insight Studios and
we do our best to make each and every tattoo/ piercing
experience a special one.
The design of this shop is unique to the Chicagoland
area and tattoo community. The waiting area houses a
24ft aluminum bench that sits under custom paintings
made by the artists at Insight. The glass block
dividing walls separate the work stations. Each tattoo
and piercing station at Insight Studios offers 100%
privacy, if needed. The entire piercing room is made
up of glass block and a frosted glass door for privacy
and ease of cleaning. All work surfaces are made of
stainless steel which makes them easy to wipe down and
disinfect.
Every artist at Insight attends an annual bloodborne
pathogens and principles of infection control training
course, which meets the requirements of OSHA Standard
29 CFR 1910.1030.
Insight Studios is one of the ONLY tattoo/ piercing
studios that offers WEEKLY autoclave spore-testing in
Chicago. The results are kept on-site to ensure that
our equipment is sterilized using the highest
standards in the tattoo/piercing industry.
Insight Studios is the ONLY studio recognized by The
Association of
Professional Piercers in Chicago. By adhering to the
highest industry standards, you will receive a
professional piercing by a professional piercer. Only
the highest quality of jewelry the industry has to

At Insight Studios our artists are “specialists.†We
don’t believe in tattooers who pierce and piercers who
tattoo. Focusing on our specialties allows us to give
our best on every tattoo and piercing.
At Insight Studios our specialty is large, custom
tattoos. The selection of “flash†(pre-drawn artwork)
is extremely limited but available to build ideas
upon. Why would you want to pick something off a wall
when an artist can draw something for you? We focus on
making each and every tattoo as unique as the person
getting it. The only way you will ever have the same
tattoo done at Insight Studios as someone else is if
it was planned that way. You never have to worry about
seeing someone with your tattoo if you get it custom
designed for you by an artist.
