Loretta Nall for Governor of Alabama

About Me

My name is Loretta Nall and I have been one of the most effective and widely recognized drug policy and prison reform advocates in the US since 2002. I am currently running for Governor of Alabama in the 2006 election as the Libertarian Party Candidate.
For the last four years I have worked for Marc Emery as news anchor for his internet based Pot TV News and as a journalist for Cannabis Culture Magazine up until Marc was arrested at the request of the US D.E.A. in July 2005. Since then I have focused all of my efforts on changing politics in Alabama.
My entrance into Alabama politics started with a helicopter flyover of my home in September 2002. Two months later the police in Alexander City,AL arrested me for writing a pro-marijuana legalization letter to the editor of The Birmingham News. I was charged in district court and convicted in a kangaroo trial of simple possession and possession of paraphernalia. I am still fighting those convictions.
Here is a clip of me on Countdown with Keith Olbermann during the 2006 election.
