Are you a PIN UP MODEL? FETISH MODEL? FASHION MODEL? NEED PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT? EDITORIAL? YOUR CLOTHING LINE OR ACCESSORIES photographed? OR need photos for your myspace page? Do you have really off the wall ideas you want to shoot?
Since moving to Florida, I shoot on location. I spent too much time in the studio in Boston with lousy weather that halted many a shoot. Now I can take advantage of Florida weather and beautiful scenery! However, if you need product shots, I do have a very simple set up, which assists you in meeting those budget constraints.
When I consult with someone that I will potentially photograph, I like to get to know you. I want you to feel comfortable and let yourself show through in my images. I don't look at other famous photographer's work very often, like most photographers. I would rather be influenced by my connection with my model.
MY PHOTOGRAPHIC BACKGROUND...
I went to New England School of Photography in Boston-a technically and commercially based school for Photography only. I majored in Fashion and Portraiture, minored in color printing and digital photography, graduating in 1994.
I began photographing commercially by doing architectural photography, model portfolio development, fashion designers portfolios, fashion shows, MANY local, national and international bands for promotional purposes, fanzines, music websites, and more.
I have taken every opportunity to attend workshops to keep up to date with new techniques since graduation. I have stayed enthusiastically active in the photographic world which helps to contribute to every shoot I create.
I also worked at Ennis, Inc. which exposed me to top notch stylists, make up artists, producers, location scouts and clients in the fashion, entertainment and editorial world in Boston, NYC and Europe. I was privileged enough to work with the creators of "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" as well as many other prominent personalities.
I worked with Sue Ann Hodges in the school's new digital lab learning and helping to teach all the latest and up-to-date techniques in digital photography.
Working with and assisting top notch and famous photographers gave me very valuable experiences as well as an amazing exposure to the commercial world. I also did color printing in a pro digital and color lab and worked as a Photographic and Digital Supplies Sales person at Zeff Photo in Belmont, MA, selling all the latest photo/digital supplies and equipment.
Later, I joined the corporate world to support my photography habits. Any passionate artist knows what it is like to venture over to the other side, it feeds my photography habits and opens many other doors for many great and unique opportunities.
I photographed Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising and Special Events. I obtained very high end clients such as Viacom, Corporate PR firms, Boston All Stars, Mary Gauthier, Godsmack, Launch.com, various models and so much more.
I am able to pass on affordable rates to small start up businesses and grow with them, synergistically working within the means of their budgets. Having a business and accounting background allows me to share that experience and creatively work within your budget constraints. Bartering is not beyond my means with a small business, either!
PERSONAL PHOTOGRAPHY PROJECTS
Some of my personal projects are photographing Burlesque and Pin up models. I love the timelessness of this iconic era. I have worked on this particular project for 4+ years. I will continue to add those images to this page as time goes on. I am sure you will enjoy the images as much as I enjoyed photographing them.
I volunteered my time to take photographs for the MP Northeast Miracle Providers in Lowell, MA. I photographed their drag shows for their promotional needs. These shows raise money for children infected and affected by AIDS. What a joy to be a part of such a special organization. These guys are a bunch of beautiful, sassy ladies as well as very compassionate about the people they are helping!
My greatest and most rewarding experience throughout my photographic career was to see the development and progression of new photographers. It was a gift to see someone finally get it all and see the growth in their work from beginning to the end of class. I helped to teach Studio Portraiture, Studio Fashion Photography and the Beauty and Glamour Photography evening workshops at NESOP with Deb Milligan (book author photographer) and Steven Cicco (fashion photographer), two very talented photographers. I will miss them dearly! You, too Bob!
n November of 2006, I made a very difficult decision to move to the Miami area to enhance my photographic career. I left a network of 13 years and a very personal connection to New England School of Photography behind. I am starting fresh and building new clientele. I have since landed in the Ft. Lauderdale area and have already started to build clientèle.
I want to do MORE FETISH PHOTOGRAPHY! Back in Boston, I had photographed fetish performances at Manray and Machine. I have photographed a few models. Please contact me for future work !
