At the dawn of Mankind, before mortal recollection, a war was fought. Vanity and Pride corrupted the most powerful and beautiful of the Heavenly Host, Samuel. This divine being refused to be second to mere animals, not fit to even breathe. With his charismatic zeal and silver tongue, he built an army number a third of the Heavenly Host, which ranked in the millions. The Archangel led his millions strong army against the might of God himself.
After a long and fierce war, the vain angel was defeated and cast from Heaven with his legions. Upon claiming his realm beneath the poundings of mortal feet, he became known as Satan, Lord of Darkness and Master of Gehenna. Since his defeat Satan has done but two things; corrupt the souls of Man and plan his triumphant return to Heaven and take the Throne of God for himself. He is almost ready…
The End approaches. Satan has collected three of the four Horseman of the Apocalypse to lead his armies, which have since grown in rank. Only one thing stands in his way, the last Demon Hunter, Angel.
For 900 years Angel has fought alone against the forces of Hell as he seeks redemption for his past sins. Towards the end of the 20th Century with waning powers and decaying divine weapons, Angel fears his battle is coming to an end. At the end of his struggle, can Angel find victory in the city of Chicago? Or is the Darkness destined to consume the Light?
