.. MySpaceScripts Profile EditorWhen four boys met in an old washkitchen to play some punkrock music in 1996, nobody could have ever imagined that this band would still exist ten years later. At that time Dennis played the drums, Seppi the bass guitar, Flechte the guitar and Thomas did the vocals. Since Dennis was not very reliable what rehearsals are concerned and conversations led nowhere he soon left the band. After a longer time of searching Quincy joined the band in 1997. After the first rehearsals in that new formation it became clear that the band would take on a harder course. Motivated by the heavier drum beats Flechte and Seppi looked for new riffs to support the strongly metal influenced play of Quincy. However, the band was not satisfied for long. Something was still missing to get the hardly worked out material rolling. Therefore Thomas started to play the 2nd guitar, and the band Reizgas was born. In the beginning their songs were still strongly orientated towards punkrock. But step by step they were replaced by songs that were not only interfused with doublebass but also loaded up with elaborated riffings. Nevertheless, Reizgas never restricted itself to a special style of music, because the members of the band believe that these doctrines, established by the music industry, do only exist to increase the profit. Fact is, that down to the present day Reizgas even did increase its hard and dynamic tone, and did not lose one bit of its energy of the initial punkrock era. Quite the contrary, today Reizgas stands for expressive, powerfull music, claiming to make injustice a subject of discussion by presenting their audience texts that critizise society, wrapped in aggressive rock music. Over the years the four boys from Potsdam have become a group that, always remained down to earth and realized everything according to the DIY motto. In 2004 their debut album Across all borders was released in a limited edition of 500 CDs. Later in 2005 they set up their own recording studio Trashcord.Tonstudio, which serves in the first place as a possibility for themselves and good friends of them to record their music. At present, if not on stage, they are working on their new album, which will be published next year.
