Though I began as an airforce brat, born in Nebraska, my roots are based in Southern Louisiana (Cajun Blood!) and here at home, Austin, Texas. Been in Austin since 1986 and now consider myself a native. My husband and I are both musicians and play with a variety of folks. I attend a weekly local jam graciously provided by a fellow friend and musisian (ask me about this jam and I'll give you the details). I street basque when I can (what fun!), record in our home studio, play open mikes locally, do studio work with others, play for parties / family and network with many other musicians. I play roots, blues, folk, rock-n-roll, jazz and original works. I've been playing flute (over 30 years now), harmonica, recorder, sing back-up vocals and want to learn to play fiddle and the keyboard.I garden, make jewelry, write poetry and short stories, work on cars and enjoy hands-on projects; creating and inventing things, relish long naps (I have narcolepsy), film (watch motion and create photography), love moving water; to swim in, lay next to, boating, fishing or for peaceful listening. The sun is one of my best friends.I am a rock hound and collect all sorts of rocks and fossils, I hike, and enjoy entertaining at home (cooking and baking). I love time spent with family. Travel is a good thing - when possible. Gratefully, I am self-employed designing web sites and photographing all sorts of things...from real estate to waterfalls.....
