Shadow of Man [NEW SONG!!!!!]

It was back in early 2006 when Chris, Mes, and this dude named Ryan wanted to start a band. The band went through very hard times with many member replacements and undecided band names and genres. First, the band was started with intentions of being a jazz band. That didn't last long. Chris was a major Iron Maiden fan, and since he wrote most of the music, the sound of the band was Maiden driven simple metal. The band still kept going through member replacements. After a while Chris and Mes kicked everyone out and remained the only original members since the bands birth. It wasn't until then when Chris and Mes had somewhat of an epiphany. They realized that they shouldn't put limits on their abilities by writing simple music to fit the other members' skill levels. They wanted to write crazy, complicated as hell, melodic, keyboard driven, death metal. The band's name was then changed and finalized as SHADOW OF MAN. The first song written for Shadow of Man was "Choked Reality," which they decided not to keep. Finally, the band came completely into place when new drummer Sebastian Vera and bass player Gilbert Hernandez joined. Chris and Mes were finally content with the new sound of the band which they had been trying to pull together for a while. Then started the writing process of such songs as "Voices" and "Shadows Rising". The band was finally recorded by Mes at NDCrecords (his bedroom). After recording the first song "Voices," the band realized that they still don't have a keyboard player for the keyboard driven sound they wanted. From luck, a dude named James Jordan moved down to Los Angeles from Oregon to attend the same High School that Mes and Chris were attending at the time. He just happened to play keyboards. The band quickly recruited him and started the teaching process. When the band started playing shows with James, they established him as the official "PIT STARTER." This was due to Jame's usual urges to jump off stage and create chaos in the already chaotic crowd. After many shows played around the San Fernando Valley and in the greater Los Angeles area, SHADOW OF MAN gained lots of live experience. The sounds improved, the crowd sizes improved greatly, and the pits got crazier and crazier. They are anticipating the completion and release of their debut self-titled album in the Fall of 2008.
