travel, languages, birds (especially raptors) and other wildlife, the ocean (i wish i was closer and crowded NJ beaches just don't cut it), hiking, running, biking, backpacking and various other means of getting outside, knitting, crocheting, sewing and crafts in general, reading on my porch although a hammock would be better if I only had trees, playing scrabble (especially at wired cafe with dan and a good cup of coffee), music, movies, and of course, enjoying some good food and drink when finances permit

anything that teaches me something, inspires me or makes me laugh. currently reading a book about ecotourism, was previously brushing up on my world history and prior to that was reading a book by Jose Saramago. I'm terrible at finishing books because i am easily sidetracked. I love to read Discover magazine while eating breakfast.
