So here it is... who they are, how they met, and where the name HALCYON actually came from.

Myers, FL Birthdate: 04.09.70 Something people don't know about you: "My real hair color is brown and the music I listen to is nothing like the music I make." What are you doing when you aren't performing? "Working out and hiding from Deb." Something We Should Know: "I am really not unapproachable, I'm just shy" Random Steph quote: "No dark liquor, makes me mean!"
Name: Deborah Hunseder Where from?: Cincinnati, OH Birthdate: 03.10.63 Something people don't know about you: "My real hair color is blonde, and I like to keep it that way!... Oh! That I brew my own beer and I love to cook! And every stray dog in town seems to know where I live!" What are you doing when you are not performing? "Answering emails and trying to find Steph!" Something We Should Know: "I think I live an authentic life. What you see is what you get with me." Random Deb quote: "Never in excess... yeah, right. I brew my own beer, remember?!" TAKE US BACK TO THE BEGINNING...
So how did you two meet? S: "At a softball tournament in Clearwater.. I was playing and Deb was there watching with a mutual friend. When the tournament was over, there was a party by the pool. Deb had her guitar and started playing and I started singing...and we sang together for the rest of the party. That day we made a pact not to just walk away and forget about what happened. Three weeks later we had our first gig."Were you two doing music before then? S:"No, when we first met I wasn't doing music at all. I was in college on a volleyball scholarship, but Deb was." D:"Yeah, I had done a group a few years earlier called "Youth in Asia". It was three guys and me. We played everything very fast." (Note: more info on Deb's first band to come. But DO KNOW that this band employed a leather clad "Deb Aura" who bears a striking resemblance to our Deb today!)
So how did you get the name Halcyon? S:"A friend of ours was looking through the dictionary and she found 'Halcyon'" D:"Golden, peaceful, prosperous, happy. We felt the definition really fit what we wanted to do."
