About Me

I was born and raised in Jamesburg, New Jersey (8A on the turnpike). In the 7th grade I had an opportunity to learn bass (Because I didn’t think playing the trumpet was cool enough and, my parents wouldn’t buy me one of the “nice” electric guitars from the Sears catalog). I played in my high school’s concert and jazz bands. After high school, I went to Lee University for a year, sprained my ankle streaking, and realized college wasn’t for me at the moment. I then joined an international Christian missions organization called Youth With a Mission (YWAM) in Tyler, TX. I spent the next 9 years doing humanitarian work in Romania, Mexico, Peru, Papua New Guinea, Australia, Bangladesh, the UK and all over the U.S. During that time, I was one of the founding members of a band called Ten Shekel Shirt. We were distributed through Sony Epic and toured extensively throughout the U.S. After moving to New Haven, CT, I went to music school in New York City at The Bass Collective in January 2004. While living in New Haven, I was playing and doing various projects with Connecticut based bands/singer-songwriters including Mighty Purple and The Tires. In August of 2007, we packed up and moved here to Nashville so I could pursue working as a touring and studio bassist....
