A little bit about myself..I love music. Music has always been a huge part of my life. I love seeing my favorite artists perform live and have been to many concerts over the years. It's a rush and a thrill to be emersed in the pure sensations that music brings. If you ever have a chance to see Darren Hayes, Richard Marx, Rob Thomas or Kelly Clarkson live, do it! They are even better live than they are on CD.
My second love is traveling, experiencing new things, new places, meeting new people. If I didn't have to work, I would probably live on the road! lol
Then of course, my other passion is SciFi, mostly television and movies. Don't know what I would do without the SciFi channel!
I have 2 grown sons that I'm very proud of.

I've been a Darren Hayes fan since the early Savage Garden days and have enjoyed being part of his fan community for several years. I worked with Sony/Columbia Records USA unofficially to help with fan support of Savage Garden and Darren back in the 90's thru early 2002. After Darren went solo, I was the founder and leader of the International Darren Hayes Street Team for almost 6 years and it was a joy and an honor. We weren't a normal street team, we were not run by a record label (although Sony did supply me with info and promo supplies to assist with support of Spin/Insatiable in the US), we were entirely fan run which is very unique and rarely done. I didn't like the way major labels designed their street teams because to me they were too pushy, too fabricated and insincere, so I custom designed my team to support Darren is a way he would be comfortable with focusing mainly on providing information so that fans would know when he had releases so that they could look for them and spread the word about them. Even though it was a fan run group, I ran everything by his staff before I did it. Unlike label run street teams, our team goals and guidelines were all about non aggressive, postive, local and honest support. Unfortunately Darren had some trouble with overzealous fans harrassing video/radio stations which put him off of fans being involved in his support which eventually led to him asking me to end the team last year. It's always all about perceptions. Even though the DHST never participated in any negative or dishonest activities, the perception was that "street teams" must be behind the problems just because a team existed. Unfair yes, but in the end the best thing for Darren was to remove the possibility that our team would get confused with label run teams that did do those negative things. The only way to do that is to just end it and then arrange a different way to help the fans support him in a positive way which is what he's done recently with his neobird myspace which essentially has all of the same guidelines and tools for positive, honest support that my DHST did only this time his staff is running it. I thought I should clear that up for anyone that thinks his repeated mentions against street teams and overzealous fans this past year were directed toward our loving DHST or me as the former leader of that team because that is simply not the case.
Per Darren's request, last year I changed the focus of our former street team to being a fan news sharing network. With over 2000 members is a great way of keeping the fanbase connected and informed. The group is now called the "Darren Hayes Fans News Network" and is still going strong.
