The Journey is more fun than the destination.

About Me

IF YOU HAVEN'T FIRST MESSAGED ME OR CONTACTED ME, PLEASE DON'T TRY TO ADD ME!

The Basics: Wow there's a lot to describe. I'm very outgoing and love to go out and party, shop, go to movies, museums or gardens or just sit home and relax. I LOVE the beach and dolphins - must be the fact that i'm a pisces because my brother's wife is exactly the same way. I love the outdoors - camping, hiking, swimming and everything else. Alaska is the perfect place for that - been there 3 x and can't wait to go again! I am a HUGE yoga fanatic - I am almost certified to instruct. I have 3 cats (I had to give 2 to my ex-husband -better him than a stranger - and when I decide I can get a dog, he'll get my last cat, my baby girl, *tear*, a horse (well sort of - I did for 10 years but one of my oldest friends bought him so I have complete access any time I want - especially since she now lives in Scotland) and 3 dogs. I am definitely a music lover - unless it's country or metal. I I also love reading, writing, dancing and sometimes just playing around and goofing off. I am very well-rounded and can make the best out of and have fun in almost every situaiton. I'm diverse and I love it!
Spirituality (can't reveal too much though ;) gotta leave something for discovery): I believe in living in the now and for the future, not based on the past. While the past may have some affect, at least if we allow it to, upon our lives, we control our present and future so our past is not an inhibitor...it's precisely what it is - the past. Along with this comes knowledge that words are the most powerful commodity we own so use them wisely. They allow us to do ANYTHING we set our minds to so be careful how you choose your words. Along with this comes the belief that life is far too short to dwell on the negative and live with the "poor me" syndrome. Believe me, i've been there and am sure i'll revisit that place but I know where it is and can leave that place where it belongs - in the past - at any time. Rather, I look at the things that upset me and put me in that "poor me" place as things that happen for some reason or another....more below
Who I am and What Shaped and Continues to Shape Me: I am motivated, determined, strong-willed, ambitious, passionate and i'm definitely not a quitter. Along with this comes me as the "entrepeneur". Some may look at my childhood like it was perfect. Well, I assure you, it wasn't perfect. Behind the brick wall were many obstacles to overcome, just like everyone else. However, I didn't allow those obstacles, nor will I ever allow the obstacles that still cross my path, to knock me down. I'm a fighter and obstacles are a challenge to me. If everything were straight-forward and simple, life would be far too easy and monotonous. The obstacles in life, although they seem tough and maybe impossible to deal with at the time, are what make us who we are. How dull life would be if everything was smooth sailing! The bigger the challenge, the larger the lesson we gain from it. I see an obstacle (at least after the fact) as another learning experience...another piece of knowledge I gain or another lesson learned.
Family and Friends: Anyone who knows me well knows that my family and friends are the most important things in my life. My family is absolutely amazing. We got along probably better than most other families i've met. We are there for each other for thick, thin and everything in between. We've been through high's, low's and everything else imagineable but one thing's for sure - my family is strong and continually grows stronger - no matter what we face, we are always there for one another and would do anything for each other. Now that's what I call family.
I hold my true friends in pretty much the same regard. I have a heart of gold and sometimes get taken advantage of because I'm too nice, but that's a price i'm willing to pay because I love my friends with my whole heart. I'm usually a good judge of character but once in a while I get burned for being "too nice, naive or trustworthy". Yes, heart of gold but please don't get on my bad side because things aren't so pretty when you mess with my family, my friends or myself. This is when I turn into a b*tch and you don't really want to see that side of me... Anyhow, back to my friends...yes, we all have tons of acquaintances, people we go out with and what not, but then there are our TRUE friends. For me, these people are people I can count on no matter what, those whom I can call at 3:30 in the morning because I know they need a friend or because I myself need someone to lean on, those whom I know would be there for me in a second no matter day or time, even if we hadn't touched basis for a while, and along with that, those that we can pick up right where we left off with as if no time's passed, even after not speaking for a while. I love my friends to death - you know who you guys are ;)

If you like to dance, the outdoors, camping, partying outdoors or hanging out for a night on the town, i'd love to meet you too :) If you have an appreciation for life and all of its beautiful creations, we'll definitely hit it off but if you don't care or lack drive, ambition, spirituaility or the ability to set goals, not likely we'll hit it off.
