Let me just say this, I got MAD LOVE for this woman. Not many people in Australia can say that, but hell, I'll be the first one here to admit it. Anyone who is running a myspace music page of any sort, whether you're running it for the artist or you are the artist themselves, do not send me friend requests! Unless I have knowledge of you and actually want you to be on my list, then I will send a friend request myself.
Yeah, it sounds snobberish and rude, but I really don't give a shit. I've always hated it when people say to me "Oh, check this band out, they're really cool!", so I go take a listen and it ends up in the recycle bin pretty much as soon as I have washed my ears out with the aid of a scalpel and vinegar cotten swabs.
I understand that you're trying to "get the word out there", but using myspace as a whoring tool to get your band/name known will not get you any cool points. Who am I? No one, but I know there are a LOT of other people out there with the same views as I have.

6 November, 2005.So, for the last few weeks I have been getting some fairly odd friend requests and messages. I will make the effort to message anyone, however I will not add people who I feel are too different from myself or myspace music sites that simply don't interest me.
There are a few people on my friends list who have sat there ever since I have added them and done nothing in the way of conversing with me or showing me that they actually WANT to be my friend. I mean, that's what it is right? A FRIENDS LIST?
I'm going to be doing some pruning soon, so if you want to stay on my list then do something about it! I realise a lot of people out there try to collect every person on myspace and have 90 pages of friends when they only talk to about 0.01 percent of them, and that's fine, best of luck to you, but that's not my thing, sorry. I come here for friends and to make friends, not revel in the fact that I have 1,000 pretty little thumbnails in my friends section.
To all the people who have sent me music spaces, thanks. I did take a listen and if I didn't add you, then it meant that I wasn't really into what you have to offer. Call me a prude or an asshole, I don't mind. I just find it pointless to have some person on your page with whom you can't relate to one single bit.
So, that's pretty much it. I hope people read this before adding me.
