G DOVE is a proud Filipino-American and believer of the Hip-Hop culture who exhibits his freedom of expression through songwriting and graphic design. Producing an original Hip-hop sound influenced by Old School Hip-Hop, Jazz, Disco, Soul, RnB, Freestyle, Neo-Soul and even Classical music –G DOVE has developed an inspirational, conceptual and positive approach to rap music. Guided by a strong intent to create a positive image of the Hip-Hop culture, G DOVE speads truth though Music and Design; the most influential and powerful forms of personal expression.
Born and raised in San Francisco, California G DOVE began his true exploration of the Hip-Hop elements through Graffiti art (KGM), break-dancing (Stank Winos), Djing (Fresh with Style), and Rapping (Stalagmytez). In his younger years his motivation came from the likes of Run DMC, the Beastie Boys, Eric B and Rakim, EPMD, Diamond D, Pete Rock and CL Smooth, A Tribe Called Quest, Dela Soul, Leaders of the New School, the Rock Steady Crew, and locals: Bored Stiff, Knuckle Neck Tribe, TMC, ARM, Style Beyond Compare, Spintronix, Unique Musique, Live Style Productions, Expressions and many others.
Ill-product in association with GLT Music will be releasing G DOVE's debut album in 2007. With high anticipation from dedicated listeners in the U.S. and the U.K, his album entitled "Different Daze" will be released worldwide. Two introduction CD's, "Dirty Demo Vol. 1" and "Sunday Funk" (G DOVE and EMC collaboration), will be distributed for free and will be made public through Internet radio stations, podcasts, and local radio stations abroad.
