Who is SpokenAgainst?
-SpokenAgainst is a site dedicated to helping members of the GLBT community and their allies-
-We promote love, peace and equality for anyone and absolutely everyone, regardless of where you live, what you believe in, what you may have done in the past or anything else that makes you who you are-
-We know change starts with us, and we know we must change our own attitudes and bad habits before we can change anyone else's-
-We fully understand that while we cannot change everyone, we won't change anyone if we don't try-
-We do not support violent efforts to achieve peace and equality. We believe in tolerance of all peoples, whether they are tolerant in return or not. Nothing will be accomplished if all we exchange is physical blows. Change comes with knowledge, not war-
-We are dedicated to helping the Gay Liberation Movement achieve its goals of worldwide equality-
-In our two years of life we have made a difference in those who allow us to do so. We have helped people from everywhere accept their friends, family members, or even themselves, who might identify as Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered, Questioning, or Straight Allies.-
-We will continue to make that difference everyday, and we're looking for more people who want to help make a difference for people all over the world-

Our History, Our Beginning
SpokenAgainst is a Gay Rights/Awareness group that was started by someone who wanted to make a difference. It all started after the Day of Silence. The things that were said, the feeling of being harassed without being able to fight back, the experience of really trying to bring awareness to our community was really the motivation to try harder to make a difference.
I finally got the site up and running, and it's been a huge success since then. I never would have expected the group to make it this far, or to pick up so fast. We've been hit with some harsh blows, being hacked into, harassed, nearly shutting the whole operation down, but SpokenAgainst has survived through all of it thanks to the friends and supporters we've gained since the site started.
People have asked us what sets us apart from other groups and what is special about us, but the truth is, we aren't really any different from any other group out there. We want to make a difference, we want to get our word out, we want to inspire people to join us and we have never been more determined to do so. I am a real person of who spends most of her time on this site, and I am really serious about what needs to get done to change the discrimination. Equality is no joke, it’s a serious goal that will take some serious work, but with each new friend we gain along the way the load gets lighter and easier to carry. The people here really do care, and that's what motivates us to do more.
