Hailing from Ft.Lauderdale, Unified is a straight forward, blue collar, working class band. With an all out attack of hardcore punk, and oi, they produce an in your face, no nonsense sound. Having deep rooted ties with a hand full of SFLA crews in the South Florida Hard Core seen, like CBC/FSU, SFSH, and Old Breed, to name a few, as well as surf and skate, Unified's family is one of large capacity.
Unified was originally founded in 1998, calling themselves Unified Cause. The band quickly forged their way into the hardcore punk scene of SFLA, bringing a heavy punk and oi sound to unite the masses, gaining them a unique popularity.
With shows from MIA, to North Florida, playing with such greats such as, NC's top Oi legend, Patriot, and the Drop Kick Murphys, the band played their way through the ranks, and quickly earned their rights as SFLA's very own home grown, hardcore punk machine. After a long hiatus, Original members, Steve Skinzone, and T.May have resurfaced with a new lineup, featuring Andy Nemenz on Bass, and Brian Watkins on Drums.
Eager to start off on the right foot, the boys decided a name change would bring new energy to the band, so they dropped the Cause, and became Unified.
That's right, their back. Although unified may seem new to some, their reputation is timeless, and the Unified crew's Old Breed mentality will never fall to the wayside of todays modern punk and hardcore scene !
